Cookies and similar tech for core site functionality, analytics, and (if you opt in) marketing.
Optional analytics/ads: If enabled, we may use analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand site performance. 4) How we use personal information

Comply with legal requirements (tax, accounting, health & safety) and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell your personal information.

5) Sharing & international transfers
We share personal information only with:

Service providers under contract (hosting, email delivery, website/IT support, analytics, form and scheduling tools, payment processors if used). They may access personal information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
Professional advisors (accountants, lawyers) and regulators if required by law.
Transfers outside Canada: Some providers may store/process data in the United States or other jurisdictions. Your data may be subject to local laws in those places. We use reputable providers and contractual safeguards appropriate to PIPEDA and (when applicable) Law 25.
6) Cookies & preference management
Essential cookies (security, load balancing, core functionality) run without consent.
Non-essential cookies (analytics/ads) run only with your consent via our cookie banner or browser settings.
You can withdraw cookie consent anytime via the banner (if shown) or your browser controls.
For Québec residents, we obtain clear consent for non-essential cookies that collect personal information and present settings in plain language. McCarthy Tétrault

7) Children
We do not target our services to children. Where Québec residents are concerned, we do not collect personal information directly from a minor under 14 without consent from a person with parental authority or a tutor, unless clearly for the minor’s benefit. Légis Québec

8) Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including:

TLS encryption in transit; hardened hosting and access controls
Least-privilege account management and audit logging for admin systems
Vendor due diligence and confidentiality obligations
Employee/contractor confidentiality and awareness
No safeguard is perfect; if we identify a breach creating a real risk of significant harm we will notify affected individuals and, where applicable, regulators (e.g., OPC federally; CAI in Québec) as required by law. Privacy Commissioner Canada

9) Retention & deletion
We keep personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes above or to meet legal/operational requirements, and then securely delete or anonymize it. Typical retention:

You can opt out at any time, and we’ll stop marketing messages right away (transactional/service notices may still be necessary). CRTC+1

12) Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions that produce significant effects using solely automated processing. If we ever introduce such tools (e.g., automated quoting that materially impacts outcomes), we will provide required notices and a means to request human review, consistent with Law 25 transparency duties. 13) Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party sites (manufacturers, safety authorities). Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies before providing information.
